New Orleans, La. - The Gardner-Webb women's track & field team was awarded for its hard work in the classroom for the 2010-11 academic year, as the Runnin' Bulldogs were named as a 2011 Division I Track & Field All-Academic Team by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The GWU women's team was one of 164 teams to receive All-Academic Team recognition, posting a team grade point average of 3.32 for the 2010-11 year.
Gardner-Webb was one of five Big South school's to receive the honor, posting the highest team gpa in the conference, edging out High Point who had a 3.31 gpa.
To receive All-Academic Team honors, the team must post a cumulative 3.00 grade point average or higher for the year.
