Boiling Springs, N.C. - The NSCAA has recognized Gardner-Webb's women's soccer team with a top academic honor, receiving the organization's 2010-11 Women's Team Academic Award.

Gardner-Webb was one of 572 collegiate women's soccer teams to receive the national reward for academic excellence after posting a team GPA of 3.17. To qualify, teams needed to post a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and higher.
