Sophomore guard Teonika Webb and the Lady Bulldogs will take on Radford on Wednesday night at 7 p.m.

Boiling Springs, N.C. - The Gardner-Webb Lady Bulldogs (19-3, 8-1 Big South) will look to redeem its only conference loss thus far this season on Wednesday night, as GWU will take on the Radford Highlanders (5-14, 4-4 Big South) in the Dedmon Center in a game that was postponed from last Saturday afternoon due to the snowy weather.

The Lady Bulldogs are on a seven-game winning streak and are 11-1 in its last 12 games with the lone blemish coming to the Highlanders on January 4. Radford is on a three-game skid with the most recent loss coming at home against the Liberty Lady Flames on Saturday, January 30.

GWU sophomore Teonika Webb returns home for the first time this season, as the Pulaski, Va. native had a solid game at Radford last season as a freshman.  Webb had five points and one rebound in last year's contest in Peters Hall at Radford.

With the Lady Bulldogs 59-56 win over Liberty on Monday night in Lynchburg, Va., Gardner-Webb took sole possession of first-place in the Big South regular season standings.  GWU is 8-1 in conference play thus far this season, one game ahead of Liberty who is in second-place overall with a 7-2 conference record.

The snowfall this winter season has not slowed down the Lady Bulldogs, as GWU is 4-0 in games in which snow and ice covered the ground on game day.  On the snow days, Gardner-Webb defeated Converse College 79-38 and walloped Coastal Carolina by a score of 78-33.  The Lady Bulldogs also won on the road at Purdue 56-55 and on the road at Liberty 59-56.

The Lady Bulldogs now sit at 19 wins, the most that it has had in a single season since moving to the NCAA Division I level in 2000-01.  GWU is on the verge of 20 wins, which will mark the first season in which a Gardner-Webb team has reached 20 wins since 1995-96.  That season the Lady Bulldogs had 22 wins.  The all-time high for wins in a single season by a GWU women's basketball team is 23 set back in 1989-1990.

Gardner-Webb's win over Liberty on January 2 got the Lady Bulldogs on the right track in conference play this season, posting an 8-1 record thus far.  Last season, its first in the Big South, Gardner-Webb was 7-9 in conference play.

Gardner-Webb is off to its best start since moving to NCAA Division I in 2000-01, as the Lady Bulldogs are 19-3 thus far this season.  GWU started last season 5-2, what was its best start until this season.

The Lady Bulldogs will be wearing pink shoes for the month of February, as GWU is taking part in the fight against breast cancer with the specialty pink shoes.  Thus far the pink power has worked for Coach Reeve's squad, as the Lady Bulldogs are 1-0 when wearing the pink shoes thus far this month.

Radford (5-14, 4-4 Big South) is looking to snap a three-game losing streak on Saturday afternoon, as the Highlanders are 4-5 at home this season.  Radford sits in the middle of the conference standings at 4-4 halfway through the Big South regular season slate and will look for a few home wins to move up into the top tier of the League.

Radford is allowing 60.5 points per game, as its opponents are shooting 41.3 percent from the field.  The Highlanders are averaging 52.4 points per contest, shooting 35.9 percent from the floor, yet are getting most of its points of turnovers, forcing its opponents into 21.2 miscues per game.  Radford is second in the conference in steals, averaging 10.84 thefts per game, and is third in the Big South in three-point field goal defense in holding its opponents to 20.9 percent from downtown.

The Highlanders are led by preseason all-conference selection in Kymesha Alston, who is pouring in a team-high 11.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.  In addition, Denay Wood is averaging 8.6 points per game and 5.0 rebounds, while Brooke McElroy is hauling in 6.0 rebounds per game and 7.3 points per outing.

Monday night's meeting will be the second meeting between these two schools' this season and the seventh all-time. The Highlanders won this year's first match up, a 68-53 win back on January 30 in Boiling Springs, N.C., to knot the overall series up at 3-3. Last season, GWU took two out of three from the Highlanders. Radford won the first match up 82-47 in Radford, Va., while in the rematch a month later GWU defeated the Highlanders 55-53 in Paul Porter Arena. In the third match up, which came in the first round of the 2009 Big South Tournament, Gardner-Webb upended Radford 61-50 to the Highlanders season.
