Boiling Springs, N.C. - Gardner-Webb wide receiver James Perry III and offensive lineman Jamie Dunaway were both named as honorable mentions on the 2011 Consensus Draft Services (CDS) Preseason FCS All-American Team this week.

Perry, a three-time All-Big South selection at wide receiver, became just the second receiver in League history to record at least 50 catches in a third consecutive season.  Perry is currently on pace to shatter the Big South record for career receptions, with a full season remaining in 2011.  The rising redshirt-senior caught a career-high 65 passes last year and ranked second in the Big South in receptions per game.  Perry ranks fourth among NCAA active career leaders in receptions per game and has caught a pass in 32 consecutive games heading into this season.  Last season in 20110, he had six games with at least six catches and caught a season-best 10 passes for 125 yards and two scores in the GWU win at Akron.  Last year in conference play, Perry grabbed seven passes for 116 yards vs. Coastal Carolina, hauled in nine passes for 90 yards at Stony Brook and nabbed eight passes for 78 yards and the game-winning touchdown vs. VMI.  While at GWU, Perry has hauled in 181 career passes for 2,082 yards, which ranks third in League history and fourth in GWU history.

Dunaway enters third year as a starter on the offensive line in 2011, where he has started 22 consecutive games already in his career.  A second-team All-Big South selection in 2010 as a true sophomore, Dunaway saw action in 11 games last season, mostly at left tackle.  In 2010, Dunaway graded out at better than 81 percent, ranking second on the team overall and also finished among the team leaders in knockdown blocks.  Dunaway also started all 11 games at left tackle as a true freshman in 2009.

Gardner-Webb and first year head coach Ron Dickerson, Jr. will kick-off its 2011 season with a home game versus Brevard College on Saturday, September 3rd, at 6 p.m. in Spangler Stadium.
