Boiling Springs, N.C. - The Runnin' Bulldogs controlled Monday's match from start to finish, winning all matches in taking a 7-0 triumph over North Carolina A&T.

GWU (9-6, 1-2), which dropped a tough 4-3 match to Coastal Carolina on Saturday, got a lot of help from a pair of freshmen, Alice Hopkins and Yasmin Doost, in getting Coach Corn's team back on the winning track.

Hopkins (Birmingham, England) and Doost (Bray, England) teamed up to give Gardner-Webb its first win of the day, cruising to an 8-0 win over the Aggies' pair Cayla Cross/Kimberly Stalling No. 2 doubles. The pair of freshmen have been a major part of the Runnin' Bulldogs success this season, as Monday's win marked the 8th of the season for the duo.

At No. 3 doubles, Erica White and Ronia Hutterli joined forces to defeat NC A&T's tandem of April Burrage/Kenya Colbert by an 8-2 margin. White (Charleston, W.V.) and Hutterli (Duebendorf, Sweden) have teamed up for an 8-2 record at No. 3 doubles in 2012.

Jenny Lunde and Ioana Oprea picked up their 8th doubles win of the year with an 8-3 win against Azeib Nigatu/Kianna Henry at No. 1.

In singles play, Gardner-Webb got quick wins from Hopkins and Oprea, as each won their matches 6-0, 6-0 at No.'s 2 and 3 respectively. White picked up a 6-0, 6-4 triumph at No. 1 singles to give GWU wins at the top three positions. White, Hopkins, and Oprea have given Gardner-Webb a combined 38-7 at those top three singles positions this season.

Senior Tavenner Black (Gainesville, Fla.) picked up her first singles win of the season Monday, taking a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 6 over the Aggies' Kianna Henry. Lunde (Hoevik, Norway) took a 6-2, 6-1 win against Kimberly Stalling at No. 4, and Doost solidified the No. 5 position for GWU with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Victorea Austin.
