Davidson, N.C. - Gardner-Webb's women's tennis team competed at the Davidson Invitational Friday and Saturday, getting a singles flight win from senior Erica White as well as a doubles flight win from a pair of seniors (White and Ronia Hutterli).

White (Charleston, W.V.) picked up three individual victories to cruise to the flight win, knocking off East Carolina's Yillan Zhang (6-3, 6-3), Davidson's Brites Moniz-Soares (6-0, 2-6, 10-5), and Campbell's Ana Ortiz (6-3, 6-3).

Hutterli (Duebendorf, Switzerland) teamed with White to earn three Flight 1 doubles victories en route to the flight win. The two Runnin' Bulldog seniors teamed up to defeat Davidson's Crouser/Held (8-5), Campbell's Ortiz/Stanic (8-6), and East Carolina's Zhang/Terpko (8-4).

Another Runnin' Bulldog duo impressed at the Invitational, as junior Jenny Lunde (Hoevik, Norway) and sophomore Yasmin Doost (Bray, England) combined to pick up two wins in Flight 2 doubles. Lunde and Doost defeated the Davidson duo of Bschorer/Nickles 8-2, as well as ECU's pair of Wanko/Tanik 8-1 in flight play.
