Boiling Springs, N.C. - Gardner-Webb men's tennis finishes its three-match road stretch on Tuesday, February 5 at Davidson and hosts its first match of the 2013 season on Saturday, February 9, hosting Augusta State.

GWU (0-2) opened the season at #18 North Carolina on January 19 and at USC Upstate on February 2 after competing in the Army Challenge tournament January 25-27 in what has been a busy start to the 2013 season for the Runnin' Bulldogs.

Sophomore Brendan Dempsey (Dublin, Ireland) has picked up right where he left off last season, earning a 2-0 record in singles play thus far. Dempsey, who led the Runnin' Bulldogs last season with twelve singles victories, won at No. 6 singles against UNC and at No. 5 singles against USC Upstate.

Last season, GWU knocked off the Wildcats on the road, 5-2, in last season's meeting between the two teams. The Runnin' Bulldogs dominated singles play in last season's win over Davidson, getting wins at five of the six singles position to pull away.

Tuesday's match at Davidson is scheduled to start at 4:00 p.m. Saturday's home opener versus the Jaguars of Augusta State is set for a 12:00 p.m. start time.
