Presbyterian defeated GWU 57-48 in the two teams' earlier match up this season in Clinton, S.C. back on January 24th.

WBCA PINK ZONE CONTEST

The Gardner-Webb women's basketball team will be hosting its annual "Pink Zone" contest on Thursday, February 7th, in which the Runnin' Bulldogs will wear pink as part of their uniforms to show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness and survivors in their home contest against Presbyterian College at 7 p.m. in Paul Porter Arena. The Gardner-Webb athletics program will be collection donations at the ticket tables at every home basketball game leading up to the February 7th contest with the Lady Blue Hose of Presbyterian.

All donations raised will go to a local cancer organization, which will in turn benefit breast cancer survivors or those currently battling breast cancer in our local communities.

LOOKING FOR CAREER WIN 400

Head Coach Rick Reeves is quickly approaching the 400 career wins mark, as with the Runnin' Bulldogs' 10 wins this season he now sits at 399 career victories as a head coach at the intercollegiate level.  He entered the year with 389 career wins.

DALE AND GREEN CLIMBING THE CAREER RECORD BOOKS

Juniors Jasmine Dale and Catrina Green are continuing to climb up the GWU NCAA Division I career record books, as Dale's 140 career 3-pt field goals ranks second overall, while Green's 281 career offensive rebounds ranks second overall as well. Green's 103 career blocks is tied for third in GWU's Division I history with Sandra Vaitkute, while her 583 career rebounds is fifth in GWU's DI history.

OVER THE MID-WEEK HUMP

Gardner-Webb, who at one point was 0-4 in games played on Thursday nights, finally got over the mid-week hump with a 73-47 win over Asheville last Thursday night.

DEFENSE RANKED IN THE TOP-15

GWU's defense is still ranked in the top-15 in field goal percentage defense, as the Runnin' Bulldogs are holding its opponents to 33.8 percent to rank 11th overall among all NCAA DI programs.

Gardner-Webb will remain at home to host the Lady Bucs of Charleston Southern on Saturday afternoon, February 9th, at 4:30 p.m.  The men's team will play at 7 p.m. as the second part of the doubleheader.
