Charlotte, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) - Gardner-Webb's Terry Davis has been tabbed as the Big South's Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the week, the League announced today.
Wednesday's announcement marks the second time this season in which a Gardner-Webb athlete has earned Male Field Athlete of the Week honors from the Big South Conference. Freshman thrower Alex Young (LaVergne, Tenn.) won the weekly award back in January.
Davis, a junior from Wilson, N.C., turned in a third-place finish in the triple jump at the Wake Forest Invitational. His mark of 47' 10" represented a personal best and currently ranks No. 1 on the Big South Performance List.
The honor is the first in Davis' career as a Runnin' Bulldog.
Gardner-Webb track & field heads to the Tiger Invitational in Clemson, S.C. this weekend, where the Runnin' Bulldogs will look to put in more signature performances.
