Boiling Springs, N.C. - Schedule shuffling has Gardner-Webb's men's tennis team playing in consecutive matches Thursday and Friday of this week, as the Runnin' Bulldogs travel for a road match at Wofford on February 14 and turn around to host Brevard on February 15.
The Runnin' Bulldogs' match at Wofford, originally scheduled for Wednesday, was moved a day later due to the anticipation of inclement weather, leaving Gardner-Webb with a quick turnaround in its match against Brevard on Friday.
GWU (1-3) is coming off a home win against Division II member Augusta State, which earned a No. 9 ranking following Fall 2012 competition. The Runnin' Bulldogs stymied the Jaguars by winning the doubles point, which went down to a tiebreak at the No. 2 spot. Gardner-Webb rolled from there, winning five of the six singles matches to take a 6-1 win in its home debut.
Thursday's road match against the Terriers is scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m. Friday's home match against the Tornadoes is also set for a 2:30 p.m. start time.
