CHARLOTTE, N.C. (BigSouthSports.com) - Gardner-Webb senior Erica White (Charleston, W.Va.) has been selected as the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Feb. 11-17, it was announced today by the League office.

White won both her No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles matches to help Gardner-Webb sweep Erskine College, 7-0. She downed Miranda Guthrie in straight sets (6-2, 6-1), while her and teammate Jenny Lunde won 8-6 over Erskine's Corin Hallman and Guthrie. This marks White's first Player of the Week nod this season.

Tuesday marks the second time White has received the Big South's Player of the Week honor in her career.

White and the Runnin' Bulldogs' women's tennis team next plays at home versus Wofford this Thursday, February 21, in a 2:00 p.m. and take on East Carolina on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. on the road. Gardner-Webb's Big South opener versus Presbyterian, due to rescheduling, will now be played on Tuesday, February 26, at 2:00 p.m.
