Boiling Springs, N.C. - Gardner-Webb used three goals from
Dawn Rollyson and stellar defense throughout to win 3-1 over visiting
Jacksonville St. in GWU's opener at the Under Armour Border Classic.
Rollyson first scored in the 19th minute to put the Runnin'

Megan Loftin, and struck the ball past the Gamecocks' keeper on the right side
of the goal.
The game was soon tied 1-1, as Jacksonville State (0-7)
scored on a GWU own goal in the 40th minute after a miscommunication between
the backline defense and the keeper.
Rollyson scored her second goal of the match just after
halftime, taking a long assist from Tina Frost and striking it into the back of
the net to break the 1-1 tie.
Rollyson completed the hat trick off a Megan Curan assist in
the 63rd minute, taking a shot from off-center and scoring across the keeper to
give the host Runnin' Bulldogs a 3-1 advantage.
