- The Gardner-Webb men's soccer team earned the No. 2 seed overall in next
week's Big South Men's Soccer Championship tournament hosted by Gardner-Webb
University at Greene-Harbison Field in Boiling Springs, N.C. on November 10th,
11th and 13th.
Gardner-Webb
finished the Big South Conference season with a 5-3-1 record for 16 points to
claim the No. 2 seed, finishing just ahead of Campbell who posted a 5-4-0 mark
in League play to finish with 15 points.

10 Coastal Carolina won its 10th Big South Men's Soccer Regular Season
Championship as it captured the 2011 Big South Men's Soccer Regular-Season
Title, earning the No. 1 seed in next week's Big South Men's Soccer Championship.
Coastal Carolina
finished the season with a perfect 9-0-0 League mark for 27 points.
Liberty, Radford and High
Point all turned in identical 4-4-1 records in the
League for 13 points. Liberty claimed the
No. 4 position as it defeated Radford and High
Point during the regular season. Radford took
the No. 5 slot with its win over High Point
during the season, giving High Point
the No. 6 seed. Winthrop
recorded a 4-5-0 Big South record and 12 points to take the No. 7 seed.
UNC Asheville at 3-5-1 rounds out the seeds with 10 points.
The
2011 Big South Men's Soccer Championship will be played on the campus of Gardner-Webb University and begins Thursday, Nov. 10th
with four games, and concludes with the Championship game on Sunday, Nov. 13th.
All
seven games of the Big South Men's Soccer Championship will air live on the Big
South Network.
The
Big South's Tournament champion receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Men's
Soccer Tournament.
