The Chanticleers hold a slight two game advantage over the Runnin' Bulldogs in the conference standings, as Coastal has three wins compared to GWU's one Big South win.

LUCKY NUMBER SEVEN??

With the Runnin' Bulldogs 73-63 win over Coastal Carolina back on January 9th in Boiling Springs, N.C., Gardner-Webb pushed their winning streak to six games over the Chanticleers.  On Saturday afternoon, GWU will look to make it seven wins in a row over Coastal Carolina, as the Runnin' Bulldogs have not lost to the Chants since the 2008-09 season.

SLOW STARTS

The Runnin' Bulldogs have been haunted by slow starts this season and poor play in the first half of most of their contests on the year.  GWU is 0-17 when trailing at the half.  Contrary the Runnin' Bulldogs are 2-0 when leading at the halftime intermission.  However, the Runnin' Bulldogs have trailed by 10 points or more at the half in 15 different games this season.

LAST TIME OUT

In a 78-51 home loss to Liberty last Monday night, sophomore guard Jasmine Dale, who played through injury for most of the second half, scored a team-high 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting, while the freshmen trio of Jessica Heilig, KiKi Smith and Mayhana Dunovant each had seven points apiece in the loss. For the game, Liberty outscored Gardner-Webb 46-14 in points in the paint, 19-8 in second chance points and 18-2 in fast break points. Gardner-Webb did take advantage of Liberty's 18 turnovers, however, scoring 19 points off the Lady Flames' miscues. However, Liberty shot 30-of-62 (48.4 percent) from the field overall, while Gardner-Webb did not have the shooting touch at home on Monday night, converting on only 15-of-53 (28.3 percent) shot attempts in the 40 minutes of play.

GWU WILL RETURN HOME FOR THINK PINK NIGHT ON FEBRUARY 11TH

The Runnin' Bulldogs will hit the road for their next two contests before returning home to host Winthrop on February 11th at 5 p.m.  The Runnin' Bulldogs will host their "Pink Zone" game and encourage all fans to wear pink to the contest in support of breast cancer research and awareness.
