Boiling Springs, N.C. - Gardner-Webb swimming saw its tradition of academic excellence continue at the 57th annual Academic Awards Day when seniors Kiah Bellows and Samuel Woods were honored.

Bellows, an Art major from Greenville, S.C., was given the Presidential Art Purchase Award.

Woods, a History major from Clemson, S.C., earned the J.O. Terrell History Award.

"We are very proud of what these two student-athletes have done for our program, both inside and outside the pool," said Head Coach Mike Simpson. "Their contributions to the Gardner-Webb family reach far beyond the awards they have been given today."

Bellows and Woods were honored at a ceremony Tuesday morning at the Lutz Yelton Convocation Center.
