BOILING SPRINGS – Gardner-Webb's men's basketball program gets back to action on Tuesday night, hosting Coker College for a 7:00 pm tip in Paul Porter Arena.

The game will air live on the Big South Network (bigsouthsports.com).

The Runnin' Bulldogs (2-4) dropped a 77-59 decision at Georgia on Friday night and will be playing only their second home game of the season when the Division II Cobras (4-2) come to town.

Sixth-man David Efianayi (6-2, 175, So.) continues to pace Gardner-Webb in scoring, averaging 15.0 points per game. He netted 15 points on Friday night in Athens, making 5-of-7 shots to raise his Big South-leading field goal percentage to an eye-popping 64.7 percent on the season.

Classmate Laquincy Rideau (6-1, 204, So.) continues to pace the Big South with 4.3 assists per game and is scoring at a 13.8 ppg clip. Tyrell Nelson (9.8 ppg), Jamaal Robateau (9.2 ppg) and Liam O'Reilly (6.8 ppg) have also enjoyed double figures scoring games early this season as Gardner-Webb continues to work on its rotation with league play beginning in four weeks.

The Runnin' Bulldogs rank among the Big South's best so far in scoring offense (74.7 ppg) and have gotten contributions from several sources.

Coker is coming off a 94-86 South Atlantic Conference win over Catawba last Tuesday and are riding a three-game win streak coming into Boiling Springs. The Cobras are averaging an impressive 82.3 points per game – with a quartet of guards averaging in double figures.

JaQuez Motley (13.8 ppg), Jake Barrett (12.0 ppg), Roman Hall (11.5 ppg) and Miguel Priest (11.3 ppg) have scored well this season, with Hall (52.0 percent) and Priest (53.8 percent) shooting at a very high rate from the floor.

Motley has done most of his damage off the bench, starting just once in six games – and averaging just 20.0 minutes per outing.

Tuesday night will serve as a Hoops Against Hunger game, with free admission available for those who donate five items. Acceptable items include: cereal; granola bars; pop tarts; instant oatmeal; quick mac & cheese; pop top ravioli or spaghetti; canned fruit; shelf stable dinners; soup; crackers; cheese crackers; peanut butter; bread; pudding cups and water.
