BOILING SPRINGS – David Efianayi scored a game-high 18 points off the bench to lead Gardner-Webb to a 102-54 win over Division II Coker College Tuesday night in Paul Porter Arena.

Gardner-Webb (3-4) won its second home game in as many tries, getting 57 points off its bench to power the victory. Efianayi was one of five men in double figures in the game, making 6-of-11 shots in just 18 minutes.

Tyrell Nelson added 13 points, Brandon Miller and D.J. Laster each had 12 and Liam O'Reilly netted 10 points for the Runnin' Bulldogs. Point guard Laquincy Rideau narrowly missed a triple-double, finishing with nine points, nine rebounds, nine assists and five steals in 24 minutes.

Gardner-Webb went on a 25-7 run to start the game and was never threatened, beating the Cobras (4-3) press for easy baskets often. A Jamaal Robateau jumper with 1:38 before halftime gave the hosts a commanding 57-19 lead.

The Runnin' Bulldogs led by as many as 50 points in the second half, and took their first 40-point advantage with more than 12 minutes remaining in the game.

Gardner-Webb shot 56.2 percent for the game (41-of-73), cooling down late after shooting 63.9 percent in the opening stanza (23-of-36). The 'Dogs made 6-of-14 from three-point range and may have seen the margin grow wider if not for a 14-of-32 effort at the charity stripe (43.8 percent).

The passing of Rideau and Robateau paced an offense that assisted 24 times with only 10 turnovers. No GWU player saw more than 24 minutes of action and all available players took the court for at least three minutes.

Robateau added nine points, five rebounds and five assists from the wing and center L'Hassane Niangane had a season-best seven boards to go with four points. Nelson paced a paint scoring effort that produced a 66-26 edge – and a 16-4 effort on second-chance points.

Coker shot just 30.4 percent for the game, including a 6-for-26 effort from long distance (23.1 percent). Miguel Priest led the way with 11 points and eight boards. Chase Brewington and LaDarius Williams each had nine points off the bench for the Cobras.

Gardner-Webb will hit the road again on Saturday, traveling to face VMI at 7:00 pm in Lexington, Va. It will be the team's sixth road game of the young season.
