BOILING SPRINGS – Gardner-Webb will close out its three-game home stand Friday night, hosting Warren Wilson (N.C.) College at 7:00 pm in Paul Porter Arena.

The game will stream live on The Big South Network (, with Fabian Fuentes calling the action.

The Runnin' Bulldogs (5-5) took a break for final exams this week after a three-point loss to Furman on Saturday afternoon. Following Friday night's contest, Gardner-Webb will fly to Lincoln, Neb., for a December 18 game at Nebraska (ESPNU) and will close out its first semester action on December 21 at Kansas State (Fox Sports Kansas City).

Gardner-Webb has won three of its last four games, with All-Big South forward Tyrell Nelson heating up during that stretch. The 6-foot-7, 235-pound senior had 19 points against Furman – including stepping out to drain a pair of three-pointers – and is averaging 16.5 points and 6.3 rebounds over the last four games.

Laquincy Rideau (13.8 ppg), David Efianayi (11.8 ppg) and Liam O'Reilly (10.3 ppg) have also scored well over the last four games – with Rideau pacing the team in scoring overall at 13.8 ppg.

Rideau has emerged – along with Efianayi – as a consistent scoring threat in the backcourt. His assist numbers (4.4) and rebounding (5.3) have also increased with additional minutes.

The Runnin' Bulldogs will look to take advantage of its size on Friday night and to build on a season rebounding edge of +6.2 per game.

Gardner-Webb is averaging 84.2 points per game in Paul Porter Arena, going over the 100-point mark twice. Nelson has been particularly efficient, shooting 65.8 percent on his home court. The Runnin' Bulldogs have struggled from the charity stripe at home, however, shooting at a 49.5 percent clip in four home games.

The Runnin' Bulldogs have been much better at the free throw line away from home (64.4 percent) so far this season.

Warren Wilson (5-9) has dropped three in a row, including a 117-52 loss at UNC Asheville in its most recent outing on December 10.

Junior guard Michael Pomeroy (6-4, 180) leads the Owls, averaging a team-high 21.9 points per game. Marques Sullivan (10.3 ppg) and Devin Davis (10.2 ppg) also hit double figures nightly for the Owls, who are averaging 84.1 points per game as a team in 14 games.
