Men’s Tennis Adds Standout Millen Hurrion for 2017 Signing Class

BOILING SPRINGS – Gardner-Webb men's tennis has signed Millen Hurrion (Weymouth, England) to its 2017 recruiting class, announced GWU head coach Mike Griffith.

Ranked as the #6 junior in the United Kingdom, Hurrion finished the year at #3 for U18's on the summer leaderboard.

"Millen is a blue chip kid who loves to play tennis and is mature, focused, and a powerful attacking player," stated Griffith. "We are so excited that he will be attending Gardner-Webb in August 2017."

Gardner-Webb just wrapped up the 2016 fall season, in which sophomore Maximilian Scholl won the Flight A singles title at UNC Wilmington Seahawk Fall Invitational, Scholl and Michael Perry won consolation draws at the UGA Southern Intercollegiate Championships, Scholl appeared in the round of 32 in a 128-man draw at the ITA Regionals, and a third–place finish for Scholl at the Charlotte 49ers Fall Tournament.

The Runnin' Bulldogs will now look forward to the 2017 spring season, returning five guys from a squad that finished fourth in a competitive Big South Conference field.  The spring season will get underway on January 25th at Davidson.
