BOILING SPRINGS – Gardner-Webb rolled to a 7-0 win over North Carolina A&T Thursday afternoon in men's tennis action, winning its second home match of the week.

The Runnin' Bulldogs (6-9) swept all three doubles flights to earn that point and proceeded to cruise in singles play.

"Obviously pleased with another win today, but more importantly I'm pleased with the guys' commitment to preparation and believing in each other," said head coach Mike Griffith. "We had a very strong team effort today – and all week."

Johan Fors posted a 6-0, 6-0 win to start things at No. 6 singles and was followed by Ross Gilbert's identical 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles to give Gardner-Webb a 3-0 lead.

Adam Schmidt took a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles to provide Gardner-Webb with an unsurmountable 4-0 margin. Maximilian Scholl (6-4, 6-0) won at No. 1 singles, Anthony Brennan followed suit at No. 5 singles (6-3, 6-2) and Paul Hogan pulled out a 10-7 win in the third set to capture No. 2 singles – and complete the sweep.

Gardner-Webb will be back in action on Sunday, March 19, at Radford. Match time is set for 1:00 pm in Virginia.
