Women’s Basketball To Host Charleston Southern In Final Home Game of Season Monday Night

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Gardner-Webb welcomes Charleston Southern to Paul Porter Arena on Monday night, the final home contest of the 2016-17 season for the Runnin' Bulldogs. 

Monday will serve as senior night for Kiera Currie, who will be playing in her 120th game as a Runnin' Bulldog, which ranks eighth all-time in the school's Division I history.

The Romeoville, Ill. native has started 24 of the 27 games this season, averaging 5.3 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.

Gardner-Webb enters the game with an 11-16 overall record and 6-10 in Big South play after falling by a 67-56 score at Campbell on Saturday afternoon. 

Tierra Huntsman leads the team in scoring, averaging 15.1 points per contest, while Charlisa Jenkins leads the squad with 5.5 rebounds per game.

Charleston Southern enters Monday night's game with a 15-12 overall record and 9-7 in league action. 

Ke'Asia Jackson leads the team in scoring with 15.5 points per game, while Elyse Kiploks averages 7.0 boards per game to lead the team. 

The two teams met back on January 24th in Charleston, S.C., with the Buccaneers taking a 64-57 decision.  Alexus Hill led GWU with 17 points, while Ke'Asia Jackson led CSU with 22 points.
