Pair of New Personal Records Posted by @GWUTrack_XC at Vert XC Invitational Friday

KERNERSVILLE, N.C. – Ezekiel Martin and Rachel White each set new personal records for Gardner-Webb, as the Runnin' Bulldog cross country team competed in the Vert XC Invitational Friday afternoon, hosted by High Point University.

Martin posted a time of 28:53.18 in the 8K, besting his previous record by nearly 15 seconds.   White crossed the line in 24:57.80 in the 6K, crushing her previous best time by 2:30.

Keaton Poole led all Gardner-Webb runners on the men's side with a time of 26:55.14.  Christopher Lile followed with a time of 27:10.71, as well as Josh Parks at 28:45.97 and Martin at 28:53.18.  Rounding out the field for the Runnin' Bulldogs was Brett Holida (33:02.62), Haden Baker (33:28.76), Jarrod Timmons (34:22.99) and Joseph Johnson (36:19.19).
Gabrielle Cortese, who clocked in with a time of 24:00.09, paced the women's squad.  She was followed by White with a time of 24:57.80 and Jenna Ford who timed in at 25:07.75.  Also running for GWU were Sydney Davis (25:29.98), Brittany Ollivierre (26:30.90), Hannah Jones (27:12.50), and Michaela Williams (28:12.75).

Next up for Gardner-Webb is the Big South Conference Championships, which will be held on Friday, October 28th in Asheville, N.C.
