Gardner-Webb Drops a Pair in Friday Doubleheader with Charleston Southern

Runnin’ Bulldogs fall in a pair of pitchers duals

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb University softball team dropped their first two of a three-game weekend series against Charleston Southern in a Friday doubleheader. The final scores were 1-0 and 3-0 in favor of the Buccaneers.
 
The first game was very defensive as both starters went all seven innings. The lone run came in the fifth inning when Gracie Prince of CSU homered to left field. Annah Junge got the win, and Andrea Lyon tallied the loss.
 
Game two, was also low scoring as both starters again went the full seven innings. Charleston Southern put up one in the first, another in the second, and their final in the seventh. Nealy Lamb registered the win, and Elle Doolittle picked up the loss.
 
Gardner-Webb will complete their series with Charleston Southern on Sunday, March 30 at 12:00 p.m.
